The health care system was on the brink of collapsing prior to our SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, primarily due to a lack of health care staff. Many Australians were terminated from their employment for not complying with the vaccine instruction or not being able to, now the health care crisis is in a critical state, some say unsafe and non-existent for the public, in a time of need.

The petition 'Review the vaccine mandates imposed on workers', gained 3,357 Victorian signatures.
The petitioners requested that the Legislative Council call on the Government to review the current vaccine mandate directions in place, cease the COVID-19 and flu vaccine directions; effectively immediately and issue a state directive to enable Victorian employers to reinstate employees who had their employment terminated due to non-compliance with vaccine mandates.

Legislative Council Petition no. #545 | Presented 19 June 2025 | Review the vaccine mandates imposed on workers. In June 2025, Minister Mary-Anne Thomas confirmed COVID-19 mandates were revoked.
There was no response regarding getting our Victorian workers back to work to avoid further compromising public safety and individual rights.
There was no response to the petitioners requesting that the government issue a state directive to enable Victorian employers to reinstate employees who had their employment terminated due to non-compliance with vaccine mandates.'

Jessica worked simultaneously as a registered Paramedic and a crit care cert ED nurse for approximately 20 years.
In December 2021, 10 months after the COVID jab was released, she and any other ‘unvaccinated’ workers were terminated from the Ambulance service.
